Mount Britton Collection
Inspired by true stories of a pioneer gold - mining town and available as Limited Edition Prints
This collection of twelve paintings called the MOUNT BRITTON COLLECTION that my husband Ron Marshall and I painted, depicting people, places and events pertaining to the now long gone pioneer gold town of Mount Britton near Nebo 100km west of Mackay
They are both a landscape and a story – for they portray a unique part of our Australian history. They really do really tell a story – a true story that touches on the fortunes and misfortunes of the Australian pioneers that occurred below these majestic mountains.
These colourful artworks will make a bold and dramatic statement on any wall and will start many a conversation, and inspire thoughts pondering an almost forgotten era of our history. They have value not only as an outstanding artwork, but are a record, a reminder of a time past when the pace was much slower, and man was more connected to our land.
