Commissions

Yes, we do accept commissions, that align with our interests and expertise These are a selection of paintings which we have been commissioned to do. They are of various subjects and sizes. If interested in having an artist do a commission for you, then think carefully beforehand about just what it is you desire, gather any refence photos necessary, consider where you want it to be displayed, and the colours you want incorporated, the size you require, and then contact the artist to start the process. It is not scary, and so far all the recipients have been delighted. In line with standard practice, our fees for original paintings and commissions are calculated per square centimetre of actual artwork. This ensures clients receive an accurate and consistent quote with their preferred size prior to commencement of painting. Regardless of original paintings being purchased via private commission or though a gallery, clients pay exactly the same for the (unframed) work. We currently charge approximately $1.50/ cm2, and a little more for more complex artworks. These rates INCLUDE everything needed to complete an original; from time taken to photograph reference, client liaison, mock-up of compositions, paints and materials, and painting. Framing, freight and insurance are additional costs payable by the client. However, we are happy to provide artwork unframed. Please contact us directly for further details.
